Our Beverly Hills facility specializes in PRP therapy including PRP Injections for hair loss and hair regrowth.
Platelet Rich Plasma treatment of the scalp and PRP hair restoration is a new and exciting treatment for hair loss and hair growth in men and women alike.
How does PRP therapy for hair growth work?
Our blood contains specific growth factors and mesenchymal stem cells that aid in healing and tissue regeneration. One of our technicians will draw your blood and through specific procedures, blood tubes and spinning in a centrifuge extract the platelet rich plasma which contains the desired growth factors and mesenchymal stem cells. We utilize the Eclipse system which provides one of the highest yields of extraction on the market.
Once PRP is obtained, the scalp is numbed and prepped and the high concentrated platelet rich plasma is injected via a thin needle in the desired locations. It is thought that PRP stimulates the hair follicles, promotes growth of specialized cells and blood vessels, promotes cell growth and differentiation, and promotes blood vessel growth, cell replication and skin formation.
What is PRP injection and is it the same as the vampire facelift?
Platelet rich plasma contains growth factors and other molecules that help with rejuvenation. The vampire facelift which we also offer in our practice uses the same concept as PRP therapy for hair growth and thinning hair. We do also provide microneedling of the scalp in addition to injections for better results.
Who should get PRP therapy for hair loss?
Patients who have thinning hair, are experiencing hair loss, suffer from male pattern baldness or androgenetic alopecia, or have receding hair line will benefit from PRP treatment.
PRP hair rejuvination therapy promotes and stimulates hair follicles as well as strengthens existing hair follicles to prevent further hair loss.
