Pneumonia – Pneumonia is commonly known as a lung infection often accompanied by coughing, difficulty breathing, chest pain, fatigue, nausea, and vomiting. Pneumonia is caused by a variety of microbes, including Hib and can be potentially fatal for young children, the elderly and others who have been diagnosed with immune system diseases. Pneumonia may be life threatening, and over 50,000 cases were fatal in the United States during 2014 with more fatal cases world-wide.
Meningitis – Meningitis is an inflammation and swelling of brain and spinal membranes and is incredibly painful for those who have been infected. Meningitis may be life threatening hours after contraction with symptoms including: mental confusion, nausea, vomiting, sensitivity to light, and headaches.
Epiglottises – Epiglottitis inflammation of the epiglottis, the flap located above the larynx. Inflammation may accompany with a sore throat, high fever, drooling, difficulty swallowing, and other symptoms. Epiglottitis is potentially life-threatening.
Septic/Infectious Arthritis – Septic or infectious arthritis, or inflammation of the joints, caused by infection. Septic arthritis is extremely painful and may be accompanied by fatigue, fever, and chills. Some cases lead to immobility.

About the injection
