Did you know that acid reflux, bloating, frequent burping, stomach pain, and nausea are symptoms that can be caused by a prevalent bacteria called H. pylori?

You are here:
symptoms or signs of H. pylori - MY CONCIERGE MD

Nearly 30 percent of the adult population in the United States is a host for the bacteria Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori), which is found in the inner lining of the small intestine. These bacteria cause chronic inflammation and peptic ulcers, as well as increase your risk for some types of stomach cancer.

Common symptoms or signs of H. pylori include:

  • Esophageal reflux
  • Nausea
  • Burning pain or ache in your abdomen
  • Vomiting
  • Frequent burping
  • Bloating
  • Weight loss
  • Indigestion
  • Fullness after eating a small portion of food

Although these symptoms are common in infected individuals, there is no single symptom that is directly related to H. pylori. The only way to know for certain if you have H. pylori is to get tested.

At My Concierge MD, we utilize the latest technology for H. pylori detection, the BreathID breath test system. This method is non-invasive and highly effective. After measuring your baseline breath sample, you drink an almost tasteless solution. If H. pylori are present, CO2 will be released into the circulation and eventually exhaled. Our equipment will detect the C02.

If you have demonstrated any of these symptoms, come to My Concierge MD to receive a simple, non-invasive test to ensure you are H. pylori free and prevent any health complications from these bacteria levels and confirm if bacteria is present.
