What is an Executive Health Check Up?

Our Beverly Hills state of the art medical facility provides full health checkups and full physical examinations for people around the world. This type of check-up is a comprehensive medical examination that is performed by our board certified concierge doctor for busy professionals or executives. It is designed to provide a thorough assessment of an individual’s health status, identify any potential health risks, and provide recommendations for maintaining or improving overall health.

  • Corporate Enrollment & Corporate Health Exam

Our medical practice is proud to be offering corporate enrollment for corporate health exams! A corporate health exam, also known as a corporate wellness exam, is an in depth comprehensive medical examination that is typically offered to employees of a company as part of a corporate wellness program. As with the executive physical program, the goal of the exam is to identify and address any health issues that employees may have, and to provide recommendations for maintaining or improving overall health. The exam typically includes a variety of tests and screenings, such as blood work, a physical examination, and imaging tests, as well as consultation with specialists in areas such as cardiology and oncology. The exam can be performed on-site or at a designated medical facility. The results of the exam are kept confidential and only shared with the employee and their primary care physician, if desired. The goal of corporate health exam is to improve employee productivity and reduce healthcare costs for the company.

What is the cost of an executive physical at our facility?

Our basic executive physical program starts at $2500 and goes up to $9500. Additional tests or health services not included in our packages are an additional fee. Contact our office to learn more and receive the different packages offerd.

Are executive physicals worth it?

Who offers executive physicals?

There are many places and hospitals that offer executive health checkups. When we created our program we looked at executive physicals offered at large hospitals like Mayo clinic, John Hopkins, the Cleveland clinic and others and though how can we add and improve upon their methods and testing. We believe our program consists of a more personalized and thorough comprehensive physical examination.

  • Large hospitals and health systems: Many large hospitals and health systems like the Mayo executive health have specialized executive health programs that offer comprehensive medical examinations. These programs are usually staffed by physicians who have experience in executive health and often have access to advanced diagnostic equipment and specialists.
  • Independent executive health clinics: Some medical clinics specialize in executive health and offer a range of services, including diagnostic testing and consultations with specialists.
  • Concierge medicine: Some physicians offer executive physicals as part of a concierge medicine practice. In these practices, patients pay an annual retainer fee in exchange for enhanced access to their physician and a more personalized level of care.

Follow Up & Primary Care

Once you have your physical performed at our facility, you you are part of the family! We will know all your medical history, findings and create a specific assesment and plan for you to follow. You can then follow up with us in regards to any medical conditions you may have or management of any medical issues. We then can become your primary care physician and continue to help you keep your health and thrive.

Do you accept insurance?

Our medical facility is out of network with insurance providers. If you have out of network benefits, we will submit all testing to your insurance company for reimbursement. Some insurances will reimburse a 100% of billed and testing performed for annual health check ups and exams.

What to expect on the day of your executive health check up?

  1. Check-in: You will be greeted by the staff and asked to fill out any necessary paperwork.
  2. Consultation: You will have an initial consultation with the physician or healthcare provider who will be performing the check-up. They will review your medical history and ask you about any concerns or symptoms you may have.
  3. Physical examination: The physician will perform a physical examination, which may include a cardiovascular exam, lung exam, skin exam, and a check of your vital signs.
  4. Diagnostic testing: Depending on your individual needs, you may have a variety of diagnostic tests, such as blood work, urine analysis, X-rays, or imaging scans.
  5. Specialty evaluations: You may have consultations with specialists, such as a cardiologist, oncologist, or neurologist, if necessary.
  6. Review and recommendations: After the check-up, the physician will review all of the test results and provide you with a report of findings and any recommendations for follow-up care.
  7. Follow-up: You will be given a plan for follow-up and a schedule for future check-ups.

During your consultation, our provider may recommend additional tests or consultations that can be scheduled. Please note that these additional tests may come with additional costs. Some examples include:

  • Dermatology consultation to evaluate skin and specific dermatological conditions or spots
  • Comprehensive ophthalmology evaluation to assess visual health and screen for eye conditions such as cataracts and glaucoma
  • Chest CT scan for lung cancer screening for patients at risk or who smoke
  • Chest X-ray for suspected cardiac or pulmonary issues
  • DEXA scan to screen for osteopenia or osteoporosis for patients at risk
  • Colonoscopy for colon and rectal cancer screening

How long will my executive physical check up take?

We ask that you dedicate two 4 hour days to complete your health check up. A battery of tests will be performed on your fist visit. On your second visit, we typically perform your treadmill stress test and go over all your test results and findings. You also meed with the nutritionist who will review your lab work and counsel on lifestyle and diet modifications. You may do all your physical examination in one day and return for a second time to review all your tests and receive your health checkup report.

Our executive health physicians often employ a variety of screening diagnostic tests such as ultrasounds of the thyroid, carotid, heart, abdomen and the venous system. In addition our office provides testing for Heart, Lung, GI, Vision, Hearing, Bone density, Body composition, Nutrition and more.

Executive laboratory screening tests often test for different cancer markers as well as markers for early signs of heart disease. Patients undergoing a checkup will often have a test to evaluate their autonomic nervous system as well as their metabolism, body fat index and muscle mass – all of which can be accommodated by concierge doctors at My Concierge MD.

What is a corporate physical?

A corporate physical is typically a medical evaluation performed on employees to assess their ability to perform the physical requirements of them during their job. This screening test is also known as a pre-employment exam. It is typically requested by the employer after a job offer and the evaluation is conducted to ensure that the employee is physically capable of performing their job duties. Most employers will follow the guidelines set by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The ADA guidelines prohibits employers from asking disability-related questions until the applicant has accepted the position.

What is a company physical?

A company physical, is also known as a pre-employment exam that meant to assess an individual’s capability to perform job duties. The ADA specifies that an employer cannot request the exam before offering a job. The purpose of a company physical exam is to determine if the candidate is physically healthy and capable of carrying out the job requirements.

Ophthalmology Consultations

Evaluation and/or treatment by expert ophthalmologists. We do have a fundus camera or retinal camera in the office and can perform this test without referring you to a specialist.

Chest CT Scanning

Using a low-dose radiation protocol, this screening tool is for those at high risk of lung cancer (over age 50, with a smoking history of one pack a day for 30 years or two packs a day for 15 years).

CT Angiography of the Coronary Arteries

A computer tomography (CT) imaging test to determine whether fat or calcium deposits have built up in the coronary arteries of the heart. The treadmill stress test can provide clues in regards to obstruction and is performed in the office prior to a referral for a ct angio of the heart.

Calcium scoring of the cardiac vessels

A test to determine if there is an abnormal buildup of calcium on the walls of the coronary arteries is a simple test that can add additional information in regards to cardiac health. Please note that an intima media thickness scan is performed in our office which provides clues in regards to plaque buildup in the arteries.

Nuclear stress test

A test that involves two sets of images of your heart – one taken while you are at rest and another taken while you are exercising on a treadmill or stationary bike or on medication that stresses your heart.

Abdominal and pelvis CT Scans

Used to evaluate the liver, kidneys, adrenal glands, pancreas, and blood vessels for tumors or abnormalities. We do utilize an ultrasound of the abdomen to evaluate these organs, at times a CT scan is ordered to follow up on findings.

Screening colonoscopy and endoscopy

A thorough evaluation of the colon, checking for colon or rectal cancers or polyps. Performed by one of our board-certified gastroenterologist.

Mammogram

A radiology assessment for breast cancer. This test requires you to be referred to an imaging center.

Pulmonary Function Test

A more advanced pulmonary assessment which checks for signs of restrictive and obstructive lung disease such as COPD, bronchitis, or asthma, performed with and without bronchodilators.

Polysomnography or sleep study test

A sleep study where your sleep is monitored, allowing us to obtain critical information about your sleep pattern as well as other sleep disorders that may contribute to daytime fatigue. We have the latest in home sleep study equipment to perform sleep studies to rule our sleep apnea as well as a variety of other sleep conditions.

Hormone level assessment and optimization

Our medical team specializes in hormone replacement therapy and can help you diagnose and treat andropause and menopause.

Blood tests for tumor markers and cancer

We utilize the latest diagnostic blood tests and markers to rule out cancer
Magnetic Resonance Imaging; MRI is performed at a sister facility for conditions that require further assessment and testing.
Food Sensitivity Testing: This test provides you with your level of delayed reactivity to many commonly eaten foods and additives. We perform the ALCAT test in addition to other food allergy tests and sensitivity tests.

Dermatology Consultation

A complete skin examination by a board certified dermatologist, including checking for skin cancer and examining rashes, moles, and other lesions.

Cosmetic Surgery Consultation

A consultation with top plastic surgeons for facial cosmetic issues, and arrangement of a full range of cosmetic procedures
